Adam Atom – A Day in the Life

Yes, peeps, YES! It’s time! Back by popular demand, it’s time once again to hang onto your hadrons, fasten your safety quarks, buckle up your buckeyballs, and I now give you in real spacetime continuum – (may I have a Big Bang, please) …

BANG!

big bang

The ONE – the Only – the I Am that I Am atomically and anatomically smashing-

Adam Atom!

Adam Atom

Hiya’s guys! Hey remember last week’s episode I was on the case, mesopotamiaheadin’ back to ancient Meospotamia to catch Lord Anu’s Anu the Sumerian Sky Godvisit and sexual/geneological orgyinteraction with the hominid pre-Sumerians. And look – I will fill y’all in on that little escapade, promise … probably next week. But this week I gotta clear up some thangs. People keep asking, how can this Adam atom fella be in so many places and experience all these many, many things all over the vast universe and across time zones and multiple dimensions?’ He’s just one atom for heaven’s sake!

So look – gonna give y’all a little insight – here’s a typical day in the life of Adam, or for that matter, any old typical atom. Take this morning for instance …

leafSun comes up, I’m part of a tree leaf. Photosynthesisphotosynthesis occurs, the tree breathes and I get expelled into the air as an oxygen molecule oxygen molecules

and, promptly breathed in by a hawk. Hawk

The bird flies for a while, spots a mouse, swoops down and nabs the little critter. mouse

But I get flung out of its beak before the bite as spittle and land on a rhunting bootock that a hunter steps on and now I’m boot leather.

campfireIt’s now campfire time for breakfast and the hunter takes his boots off to relax and warm his feet by the fire. In the process he touches the sole of his boot and now as part of his finger I get rubbed off on a bulletrifle bullet he’s loading into his rifle. Shortly after the grits and fire-roasted possum breakfast, ol’ boy breaks camp, treks off into the woods, sees a fox and takes a shot.

Crack!rifle shooting

Off I go, but I never reach the fox, the wind whips me off the flying missile and in a flash I’m snared by a solar flare

MoonSolar Flare

and get zapped off into a slipstream trip to the moon. There in less than an instant, I land just in time to get slammed by one of the bombs

moon bombing

the USA is blasting its lunar partner with in a search for usable water and ancient historical secrets (don’t ask – they do stupid shit stuff like that – idiots – they have no idea there are peaceful subterranean beings up there, who could’ve wiped out Earthlings aeons ago – Plutonian Pacifists – but that’s another episode), and in the explosion I get flung into the far reaches of space, spin through a time warp and wind up back in 10,000 B.C. in a region where an asteroid belt is and land on a rock of ice the size of Manhattan. asteroid

Just so happens this rock is being harvested for water by – no! Oh. space shipmy. god. It’s the Nibiruians! I get loaded onto the massive intergalactic cargo ship and now I’m off to Planet X!

Looks like I will be blogging at y’all from Nibiru next week for sure, or, well – maybe from ancient Mesopotamia on earth. We’ll see. Sheesh – see what I mean? Busy busy busy bees us atoms be. And all this before noon!

Anywhosit, make sure and blog back in next Monday for more of the whacked out, most improbable of all probabilities, fantastic forays into the Universe Wide Web in the continuing-

Adventures of Adam Atom!

I love going along with Adam for the ride!

Bombing the moon. 🙂 When will we find out the results for that one? Hope they found the traces of water they were looking for…

Hey GREAT episode! But bombing the moon, dude … woa … and that article you linked to is VERY interesting.

WOW! Marv (or Adam, lol) THIS is like maybe the best episode yet.:) Adam really gets around and all the things we learn as we follow him around – this series would make a GREAT YA book …….. still planning on publishing it sometime?

    • theoldsilly / Oct 12 2009 7:40 am

Cactus, thanks – yes, I’d like to make Adam into a YA book sometime – kind of waiting for ebook technology to include color and hyperlinked text, a web-based advanced version of the books currently on the market. Although some peeps are encouraging me to just go simpler with a print version. One pub house suggested a coloring bood version! 🙂

      • Cactus Annie / Oct 12 2009 2:53 pm

        A coloring book – that’s a GREAT idea!

I like your chemical breakdown. At least he hasn’t landed in an atom smasher yet.

    • theoldsilly / Oct 12 2009 7:41 am

Yeah – an atom smasher episode would be a series final! 😉

It was so incredibly considerate and thoughtful of Adam to explain to us mere mortals and Earthlings just what a day in his life can be like! GEEZ! Never knowin’ where you’re going or where you’ll end up! At least he makes the most of it and has all these wonderful adventures he shares with us. What a great atom that Adam is!

Busy Adam indeed! LOL – hey this was one heckuva actio packed episode. Glad my days are not quite THAT adventurous! 😉

That dude Adam Atom gets around. He has an interesting life, but not a life I’d want to lead. I need my sleep!

I’ll never complain about a really busy day again as they are nothing compared to a day in the life of an atom!

  9. Barbra Kelser / Oct 12 2009 9:53 am

All this before noon!? I need a nap just READING all Adam does in 1/2 a day! LOL. This is my first Adam Atom experience – I’ll look forward to Mondays here, old silly. 🙂

    • theoldsilly / Oct 12 2009 10:05 am

Glad you like the Adam Atom Adventures, Barbra – he’s here every Monday so blog in regularly! 🙂

    Ha!

It would appear that Adam Atom’s theme song should be “I Get Around.”

    AND… a question.

Could Adam Atom ever “visit” a zombie? I mean they are the undead and such, so how exactly would that work?

Inquiring zombie minds WANT to know.

    *smile*

    • theoldsilly / Oct 12 2009 10:06 am

Oh yes, Quirkster Dear! Atoms are ESSENTIAL to zombification! And hmmm – methinks this might be the makings of a luverly off beat post, too. 😉

Of COURSE he can be everywhere at once – he’s Adam Atom!!!

Forget the moon, I’m worried about that cute little mouse. Tell me he got dropped into a haystack and made it back safely to Ms Mouse and the little mouslings..

    Best Regards, Galen

    • theoldsilly / Oct 12 2009 5:20 pm

No, sadly, Galen, the li’l mouse is now but bird droppings with its atoms certainly and surely dispersing into the far and wide reaches of the universe. 😦

  15. Elspeth Antonelli / Oct 12 2009 5:41 pm

I’m still not over the moon bombing. What happens, pray tell, when the moon men decide to fire back? Hasn’t this been a declaration of war?

You’re making me dizzy. My head is spinning. Dizzy. Dizzy.
