It’s Here – Beware the Devil’s Hug!

Hey gang, thanks for blogging in. The Old Silly is pleased (tickled royal pink, to be more exact) to announce that my new novel, Beware the Devil’s Hug, is now available not only in ebook and Kindle reader version, but also the paperback version.

Yuup. You can get it from or directly from the publisher, at All Things That Matter Press’s book store. Sells for $16.99 in paperback and around four bucks in Kindle and other ebook versions.

Me – I’m old school, I likes me a hard copy to curl up with when I read a book, and I know lots of you readers have said you wanted to read “Hugs”, but were waiting for the paperback version.

Well, wait no more!

What’s that? New to this blog and The Old Silly’s giddy and wanton self-promotion of his new novel, lately? Like to read a review before spending seventeen bucks on a darn good (so he says) book? Here’s one of the pre-pub reviews for the novel:

“Terrorist plot, spirituality, sex, intrigue and suspense place this novel at the top of the list of books to read.

“The story begins with the apparently innocent doings of a bum: but he’s much more than that.  He possesses supernatural abilities and plays an important role in a cast of multi-faceted international characters.  A planned meeting of a new organization whose goal is to seek peace by diluting religious dogmas is under threat of destruction in an Islamic terrorist plot.  With a hostage as leverage, the extremists set their plan in motion using a trusted member of the organization. Will the member fulfill the mission to save his loved ones or be used simply as a decoy in a much broader scheme?

“Timely and provocative, packed with interracial, erotic and bizarre relationships, this novel keeps the reader in a constant state of suspense.  The author weaves a tale with credibility and realism.  I give this book a five-star rating and expect to see it on the bestseller list.”

Okay, so that’s it for today. As of this post writing, on Sunday afternoon the 5th of september, the amazon Hugs page still said, “Temproarily out of Stock – order now and we’ll ship as soon as available” and “No Cover Image Available” – which only means they are still uploading all the data. By the time you read this you should be able to see the cover there and read, “In Stock – order a copy today”. If not, hop back there in a morrow or two and it should be good to go. Or if they’re still dragging their e-heels and ya just can’t wait, like I said, ATTMP has paperbacks good to go and has already been selling some.

So, hope y’all will get a copy of Hugs and if you enjoy the read, talk it up to family and friends. Feedback and reviews are always appreciated. Oh – and make sure to mark your calendar for October 15th, when I’ll be taking Beware the Devil’s Hug on a two week blog-hopping tour, titled, “Hugs Therapy Virtual Tour 2010”. Got a great lineup of fine blogs we’ll be stopping in at, with a very creative and variable array of post formats – plus lots of prizes and giveaways … it’ll be a blast, don’t miss it!

Blog back in tomorrow, Professor Old Silly will be holding English Class 10001.3c, ‘Writing with Power in Fiction’ class again, and again thanks for stopping by. Chow!
